The Torsbjerg battery (No. 14)

The medium Torsbjerg Battery is also referred to as the Ottersböl Battery.

The battery consisted of four pivot mounted naval guns. The caliber probably 15 cm.
This was the most common  caliber for the German medium guns.

The battery was situated 2400 metres south of the area Over Jerstal. The guns were mounted on a concrete emplacement.

The rooms for the crew were concrete on top of some steel plates.  The trenches in the battery were ½-2

meters wide and 2 meters deep.
The trenches were secured with small bunches of wood and several stairs to battery were constructed.

At the arrival these guns the battery was  guarded much better than other batteries according to witnesses. This indicates that this was a strategic key battery and the guns rather modern.
